Get ready to celebrate craftsmanship and community spirit at Havana’s WoodFest, coming to town on Friday, September 6th. This popular event will feature local vendors selling a variety of items with wooden components, perfect for anyone looking for unique, handcrafted goods. A perfect time to start your holiday shopping.
The centerpiece of this year’s festival is John Birch’s onsite sculpture carving for you to win and a Wood Pallet Creation Contest. The community is invited to let their imagination run wild and build a unique creation using wood pallets. Cash prizes of $150, $100, and $50 will be awarded to the top three entries. The contest is generously sponsored by Boise Cascade and the Havana Stone’s Home Center. For those needing a pallet to get started, they are available from Havana Stone’s Home Center.
In addition to the woodworking contest, WoodFest will also host a car show, inviting car enthusiasts to display their prized vehicles.
