Come and join us on Aug. 21, 2025, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Gadsden County Extension Office located at 2140 West Jefferson St. Quincy Fl., for our annual open house. This event is free for the public to come by and check out all that we have to offer. We will have booths set up to display all of our programs including, Family Consumer Science, Ag and Natural Resources, Horticulture, Small Farms, Master Gardeners, Parks and Rec., and 4-H.
The Gadsden County Extension offers events and programs that happen all year round and we would love to have more participation from the community so they can learn about our programs and how we can help you. We have so many beneficial programs that are tailored to adults and youth that we offer that are either free or at little cost depending on the program or event. This open house will have booths with flyers and brochures with upcoming events and plenty of marketing products for you to take home. The goal of this open house is to showcase all of the upcoming opportunities that you can get involved in and help grow and improve our community.
The new 4-H year will start on Sept. 1, so we would like to welcome youth ages 5-18 and adult volunteers to come out to the open house to see all of the clubs and programs that we will have this year. At this event we will have information and representatives from all of our extension programs and every 4-H club so you can learn about what each program is about. The 4-H community clubs that we will have this year are livestock, saddle, sewing, cloverbuds, dog, chick chain, beekeeping, leadership, archery, homeschool, 4-H eats, and gardening. There are so many fun opportunities and programs that the Gadsden County 4-H has to offer, and we look forward to meeting you at the open house!
This event is an amazing opportunity for youth and adults in Gadsden County to participate in and learn about what extension can do for you. If you have any questions about this upcoming event, please contact us at the UF/IFAS Gadsden County Extension office at 850-875-7255.

Evie Blount is a 4-H agent for UF/IFAS Extension Gadsden County.
