Freddie Figgers appointed to the Florida Commission on Ethics

Gov. Ron DeSantis recently announced the appointment of three individuals to the commission.

Among them is Gadsden County native and technology trailblazer Freddie Figgers.

“It is with sincere honor and gratitude that I have been appointed to the Florida Commission on Ethics, bestowed upon me by Governor DeSantis,” Figgers said in an interview.

As the President and Chief Executive Officer of Figgers Communication, Inc., Figgers has carved his own path in the technology and communication industries, earning recognition and accolades for his innovative contributions, as well as his philanthropy.

Likewise, he has spearheaded groundbreaking advancements in telecommunications, serving as a driving force behind his company’s growth and success.

Figgers’ commitment to public service is evident through his previous appointments to influential state boards, as well as his many charitable contributions.

Recently, he was appointed to the State Board of Administration’s Investment Advisory Council, where he contributes insight to the management of public funds.

Figgers’ wife, Natlie Figgers, was one of DeSantis’ appointees to the Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University Board of Trustees.

The tech mogul has also served as vice chair of the Enterprise Florida Board of Directors.

In addition to Figgers’ appointment, Gov. DeSantis also announced the appointment of Ashley Lukis and the reappointment of Edwin Moore to the commission.

According to a press release from the governor’s office, Lukis, a shareholder at GrayRobinson, P.A., Lukis is a Shareholder at GrayRobinson, P.A. She was listed among the 2023 Florida Super Lawyers Rising Stars by Super Lawyers Magazine. Lukis earned her bachelor’s degree in communication and media studies and her juris doctor from Florida State University.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
