Gadsden Senior Services partners with The Salvation army to distribute food to seniors

Gadsden County Senior Services Center is partnering with The Salvation Army to distribute food to senior citizens.
“We are excited to announce the launch of our Emergency Food Distribution program, aimed at helping fill nutritional gaps for our senior citizens,” said Brittany Christie, a spokesperson for The Salvation Army. “The distribution will take place on the first Tuesday of each month from 1 – 2 p.m. at the Gadsden County Senior Services Center.”
The center is located at 79 Lasalle Leffall Drive in Quincy.
The first distribution will be held on Tuesday, July 2.
Christie said the goal is to ensure that seniors in the community have access to nutritious food, especially those who may be experiencing food insecurity.
Seniors of Gadsden County and their caregivers are encouraged to attend.
For more details about the Emergency Food Distribution program, please contact Brittany Christie at 850-222-0304 x 109 or Brittany.Christie@uss.salvationarmy.org.
