Guest Editorial: Who cares about public notices? You should.

One of the great things about living in the U.S. is that our city and county governments are required to keep their citizens informed about their actions. One of the ways they do this is through public notices — the informational notices that have been deemed to be of importance to local constituents. They are required by law to be disseminated by an independent third party to a broad audience within the community.

  • A data table titled 'Gadsden County Public Schools: School Grades Over the Last Five Years' with data from the Florida Department of Education. The table lists nine schools and the overall district grades from the 2021-22 through the 2025-26 school years. Gadsden Elementary Magnet School shows a consistent 'A' grade and Crossroad Academy shows a consistent 'B'. Greensboro Elementary shows an 'A' grade for four years before dropping to a 'D' in 2025-26. All other schools, as well as the overall district grade, consistently received a 'C' grade every year.
