A Quincy author, pastor, and founder of a local ministry recently published a Christian devotional and study book.
Laura J. Wells-Linton hopes that her newly published book, Trees of Righteousness: Living and Lasting Evidence of God, will offer life-changing lessons that will motivate readers to face their fears, overcome adversity and walk with the Lord.
“For years, my heart has had a deep desire to write Bible studies that would make a difference in people’s lives – providing them an avenue for discovery of life-changing truths,” says Wells-Linton. “I have experienced hopelessness replaced with hope, mourning replaced with comfort, joy for my grief, and encouragement for despair. I want others to experience the same!”
Trees of Righteousness: Living and Lasting Evidence of God was published by WestBow Press, a division of the Thomas Nelson and Zondervan publishing company.
Wells-Linton’s study book offers Biblically-based lessons that the author hopes will motivate readers to cultivate a deeper walk with the Lord.
The book encourages the reader to read scripture and respond to questions that will aim to provide insight into well-known Biblical stories, spiritual scenarios, and the reader’s own life.
“We are currently in an unprecedented time of uncertainty. Hopelessness, fear, depression, and discontent are rampant. We need hope and encouragement! We need light to shine into our lives and displace our darkness! Jesus, the very Living Word of God, is that Light!” Wells-Linton says.” In this book, I present the Word of God in a manner that would cause people to encounter Jesus personally. Readers will know and experience His love, His power, His peace…His very presence.”
According to Wells-Linton, this study is intentionally written for readers to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ, gain a fresh understanding of who they are in Him, and discover the incredible resources available through Him.
Wells-Linton is the cofounder of the Quincy-based ChristTown Ministries, Inc., a ministry that she founded with her late husband, Pastor Bob Wells, in 2002.
ChristTown Ministries serves men in the Big Bend community by helping them overcome addictions and teaching Christ-centered living.
Since her husband, Bob moved to heaven in 2016, Wells-Linton has been serving as ChristTown’s pastor and director.
Trees of Righteousness: Living and Lasting Evidence of God is available from Amazon and Barnes & Noble’s online stores.
