Obituary – Lillie Greene

Mrs. Lillie Mae Scott Greene, 90, of Quincy finished her earthly course on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Church of God In Christ, with burial in First Elizabeth Church Cemetery. Viewing is Friday 4-6 p.m. at St. John COGIC. Tillman of Tallahassee is serving the Greene family. Mrs. Greene served as a church mother at St. John. She had been a longtime cosmetologist and a talented gardener and seamstress. Survivors include her daughters: Patricia Barkley (Pastor Ken) Frame, Rev. Dr. Marion Barkley (Gerald Sr.) Ellis, Diane (Theodis) Jordan, Mary Barkley (Clarence – deceased) Myers, Patra-Ann Johnson and Deborah Barkley; sons: Bishop Henry (Denise) Greene, Sr., Staff Sgt. Earnest Barkley, Commando Randolph Barkley, Timothy (Laura) Barkley and Jerry (Measia) Barkley; a granddaughter-caregiver as her own, Andrea Sheffield; sister, Mrs. Gertrude Gaines; 28 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
