Guide to the 15th annual Farm Tour – Farms across North Florida and South Georgia to participate in this weekend’s Farm Tour – including one farm in Gadsden County

The 15th annual Farm Tour is taking place from October 15-16, all across North Florida and South Georgia.

Each year, partners, including farms, orchards, organizations, ranchers, small businesses, growers and more come together to showcase their lands and products to attendees.

If you plan to attend this year, be sure to wear farm-appropriate clothing, bring sunscreen and cash, and have directions to the farm before getting on the road (not all farms receive wireless GPS signals).

The farm tour also asks that visitors leave their dogs at home - not all farms are suitable for furry visitors.

All farm sites have free admission, but there will be plenty of farm goods, fresh produce, plants, and more that will be for sale by the individual farms, nurseries, and ranches.

Allison Acres

Located at 9077 Northwest Colin Kelly Highway, in Pinetta. This 219-acre organic farm has goats, Christmas trees, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, Mayhaw, beehives, and more. Opened on Saturday from 9 a.m. through 3 p.m., Allison Acres will be hosting a farm festival, with live music, a pumpkin patch, farm rides, vendors, and more.

Arrowhead Beef

Located at 982 Hutchins Lane, in Chipley. Owned by Tony DeBlauew, the farm will be open on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. There will be farm-to-table beef samples, as well as beef and pork for sale. There will be a bounce house for kids, and soap, tea, candles, quilts, and baked good vendors on site.

Artzi Pita/Organics

Located at 114 Artzi Drive, in Thomasville, Georgia. Owned by Isreal and Yoche Artzi, the farm will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. This two-acre organic farm practices the art of backyard gardening with Israeli-expertise. There will be fresh produce, gourmet falafel and hummus, cold drinks, breads, and pastries for sale.

Boyd Farms Fresh

Located at 1548 Greenville Highway, in Quitman, Georgia. This farm has been owned and operated by the same family for over 180 years. Pasture-raised beef will be for sale while the farm is open on Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on both days.

Cindale Farms & Southern Craft Creamery

The farm is located at 3958 Old U.S. Road (County Road 167), in Marianna. The creamery is located in downtown Marianna at 2884 Jefferson Street. Both a creamery and dairy, the two locations will be showing how milk is used, from start to finish. The dairy will be milking cows at noon (central time), for those interested.

Deep Roots Meat

Located at 11061 West US 90, in Greenville. This farm is owned and operated by the Platt Family, who have been in the cattle business for generations. Deep Roots Meat will be selling grass (forage) fed beef in various cuts, as well as sausages, beef bacon, and soup bones. Hayride farm tours will be offered at 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m. on Saturday, and noon and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Beef samples will be available.

Dreamin Big Eventing

Located at 2104 Lower Hawthorn Trail, in Cairo, Georgia. Come see how a horse farm is operated at this Cairo equine facility. There will be "Barn Talks'' throughout the day, pony rides, horse grooming, training demonstrations, and more. Will be open on Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on both days.

Florida-Georgia Citrus

Located at 5314 Boston Highway, in Monticello. This family-owned Satsuma farm will be offering hay rides through the cold-hardy citrus orchards, tours of the packing sheds and juice production line, a photo booth, citrus pre-orders, Satsuma products, and a food truck. Will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Frenchtown Heritage Hub and Market

Located at 524 North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, in Tallahassee. This local famer's market serves the Frenchtown Community with handmade goods and fresh food. There will be nutritional information, garden demonstrations, cooking demonstrations, and games. The market will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Frenchtown Urban Farm and Compost

Located at 514 Dunn Street, in Tallahassee. This urban farm works to be good stewards of the grounds, providing the best environment for produce and vegetables to grow. During the farm tour, the farm will be offering seed starting, composting, worm-composting, and herb workshops. The farm will be open on Saturday, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Georgia Grown Citrus

Located at 2501 Malloy Road, in Ochlockonee, Georgia. This 90-acre farm and orchard consists of Satsuma trees, and greenhouses to ensure disease-free citrus. During the farm tour, the farm will have an open storefront, selling james, juices, baked goods, cookbooks, and more. The farm will be open Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Glendower Farms

Located at 12617 Ashville Highway, in Greenville. This multi-generational farm is one of Florida's oldest sustainably-produced farms. Glendower raises Spanish Iberico pigs, which are acorn-fed and only recently imported to the United States. During the farm tour, the farm will be offering meat tastings, cooking demonstrations, product sales, and more. The farm will be open on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Good Ground Farm

Located at 399 East Osprey Lane, in Monticello. This five-acre, family owned and operated farm uses compost, natural fertilizer, and no synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. Throughout the day, the farm will be showcasing how to run a farm on a small plot of land. The farm will be open on Saturday, from 2-6 p.m.

Grady Ranch

Located at 2109 Harrell Road, in Whigham, Georgia. This fourth-generational dairy farm and grass-fed beef ranch. There are over 1,000 acres on the ranch, with 700 cows that graze and forage. The ranch will be open on Sunday, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Heritage Farm

Located at 10500 South Bear Creek Road, in Panama City. This 170-acre family farm is occupied by three generations. The farm raises clean, pasture-fed beef, poultry, and pork, and there is a small family garden plot for vegetables and healing herbs. During the farm tour, Heritage Farm will be selling meat, and there will be live music, vendors, and food trucks. The farm will be open on Saturday, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Johnston’s Old Fashioned Meat Market

Located at 1480 West Washington Street, in Monticello. This old-fashioned meat market will be offering a 'peek behind the scenes' at meat processing and production. There will be samples, and various grilled or smoked meats for sale. The market will be open on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and on Sunday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Just Fruits & Exotics

Located at 27 Saint Francis Street, in Crawfordville. This tree nursery offers edible, exotic, and ornamental trees with an orchard full of the best varieties. The gift shop has unique gifts, decor, and garden supplies. During the farm tour, the nursery will be offering 5% discounts on purchases. The nursery will be open on Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on both days.

KB Cut Flowers

Located at 2213 Eldridge Road, in Marianna. This flower farm in the North Florida Panhandle offers 1.8 acres of floral beauty. The farm supplies annuals, perennials, and woody stem flowers all throughout Florida, Alabama, and Georgia. There is also a full-service florist on site. The flower farm will be open on Saturday, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (central time).

Lazy Acres Family Farm

Located at 6512 Americus Road, in Marianna. This family farm raises cows, pigs, and poultry. During the farm tour, Lazy Acres will be joined by vendors selling boiled peanuts, sauces and spices, food truck meals, and other local farms. The farm will be open on Saturday, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. (central time).

Longview Farms

Located at 1532 Concord road, in Havana. This Gadsden County farm produces pasture-raised Devon Cattle beef, chicken, and eggs. During the farm tour, there will be wagon rides, tours of the farm's forest lands, and an opened farm store. Longview will be open on Saturday, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Martin’s Harvest

Located at 2588 Heavenly Drive, in Marianna. This family-farm focuses on hydroponic greens, but also raises pigs, ducks, chickens, and guineas. During the farm tour, there will be demonstrations on kombucha, yogurt making, gardening, and more. The farm will be open Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m. (central time).

Millstone Institute of Preservation

Located at 6500 Old Millstone Plantation Road, in Tallahassee. The institute will be offering weaving, basket making, pottery, flute making, and other live demonstrations of old-fashioned crafts and skills. The institute will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and on Sunday from noon - 4 p.m.

Monticello Vineyards

Located at 1211 Waukeenah Highway, in Monticello. This organic vineyard grows 18 different Muscadine varieties, and produces local, delicious wines. There will be wine sampling, and plenty of wine to purchase. The vineyard will be open on Saturday, from noon - 5 p.m.

Moonpie Farm & Creamery

Located at 1100 Walters Road, in Cottondale. This woman-owned hobby farm raises dairy goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, turkeyes, quail, and guineas. During the farm tour, there will be farm goods to sample and buy, and live goat milking (at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.). The farm will be open Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Orchard Pond

Located at 400 Cedar Hill Road, in Tallahassee. This organic farm will be offering beehive displays, and farm produce (honey, beef, vegetables, granola and more) for sale. The farm will be open on Saturday, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Pemberley Farm

Located at 1745 Ben Road, in Chipley. This family farm will be hosting sawmill demonstrations, hay rides, a pumpkin patch, and an up close look at "3 Sister" gardening. There will be various farm goods for sale. The farm will be open on Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. (central time).

Promised Land Homestead

Located at 703 Southeast Tuten Way, in Lee. This 62+ acre homestead has various baby animals (lambs, rabbits, and calfs), and will be offering hay rides, tours, and farm education. The homestead will be open on Saturday, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Rocky Soil Family Farm

Located at 3137 Waukeenah Highway, in Monticello. This farm grows a variety of seasonal veggies. During the farm tour, there will be fresh-baked goods, and farm vendors. The farm will be open Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Schmoe Farm

Located at 1548 Greenville Highway, in Quitman, Georgia. This family-farm raises poultry and eggs, as well as forest-fed pigs. During the farm tour, Schmoe Farm will be offering hay rides, farm goods for sale, and a live band. The farm will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. - 4p.m.

Schuckelberry Farms

Located at 21190 Northwest Whitewater Grade, in Clarksville. This family-owned farm specializes in edible landscaping through its backyard orchard. During the farm tour, Schuckelberry Farms will have a tour of its tree nursery, vineyard, greenhouse, beekeeping operations, and free-range poultry enclosure. There will be hundreds of trees for sale, and an informational program on raising tropical fruits in Florida. The farm will be open on Sunday, from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. (central time).

Serenity Acres Farm

Located at 438 Northeast English Ivy Trail, in Pinetta. This state-of-the-art goat farm creates soap and skincare items, while also being home to free-range chickens, retired horses, black angus cows, Great Pyrenees dogs, and lots of wildlife. During the farm tour, Serenity Acres will offer hay rides, tours, animal encounters, and a peek into the milking room. There will be farm products for sale. The farm will be open on Saturday, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Tally Kombucha

Located at 2525 Apalachee Parkway, Unit 5, in Tallahassee. Kombucha is a fermented tea that is good for you while also tasting fizzy and delicious. Tally Kombucha will be showing off its taproom and providing education about kombucha all day Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 5 p.m.

Timber Bamboo Nursery

Located at 2181 Government Farm Road, in Monticello. This timber bamboo nursery has been studying and growing bamboo for over 20 years. During the farm tour, the nursery will have demonstrations and workshops on how to use bamboo around your farm. The nursery will be open on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Treehouse Permaculture

Located at 9775 John Franklin Road, in Tallahassee. This permaculture center is a well-forested, 20-acre farm in Leon County that grows over 100 annual vegetable and fruit varieties. The farm's purpose is to increase local food security, while using regenerative farming methods. The farm will be open on Sunday, from noon - 4 p.m.
