Christmas festivities to take place this weekend in Chattahoochee

Christmas at Heritage Park, a Christmas parade, and Cookies with Santa are all items on this weekend’s agenda for Sneads and Chattahoochee.

Starting on Saturday, December 3 at 4 p.m., Christmas at Heritage Park will take place in Downtown Chattahoochee.

The event will bring festivities downtown with Christmas crafts, music, games, and gift bags.

Santa will be attending this event, and will arrive at Heritage Park at 4:30 p.m. for visits and photos with local families.

The Chattahoochee Christmas tree will be lit up for the holiday season at 5:30 p.m., and at 6 p.m., the Christmas Parade will stroll through downtown.

This is a free community event that is sponsored by Chattahoochee Main Street, with partnerships from the City of Chattahoochee and the Chattahoochee Woman’s Club.

On Sunday, December 4, Santa will come to Sneads for a cookie party at the Sneads Assembly of God (located at 2062 River Road).

The church will be hosting a free milk-and-cookies holiday party, with Santa in attendance, to all local families who want to visit with Santa.

The party will last from 3-6 p.m. (central time), with regular breaks for Christmas storytelling.

Another event to keep a watch for is the Sneads Christmas Parade, which will take place on Saturday, December 10.

This year, the parade’s theme will be “Classic Christmas Memories” and anyone who wishes to participate in the parade is welcome to do so.

The parade will stroll through town at 4 p.m.
