Gadsden County considers a consolidated dispatch

Gadsden County’s Confederate Memorial is rededicated in new home

Erected in 1884, the Gadsden County Confederate Memorial had stood at the Gadsden County Courthouse Square for 136 years. In June of 2020, county commissioners voted to remove the memorial for safe keeping. The memorial was recently rededicated in its new location.

The Gadsden County Sheriff is looking to join forces with other local agencies, for a consolidated dispatch similar to what Tallahassee and Leon County currently use for their agencies’ first response.
