On April 13, the Salvation Army of Leon, Gadsden and Wakulla counties opened its doors at the City of Quincy, old NetQuincy Building (320 W. Jefferson Street, Quincy) to better serve Gadsden County residents with their emergency social service needs.
The hours of operation are Tuesdays from 9 a.m – 3:30 p.m.
This office will be for walk-in clients needing emergency assistance with basic needs and appointments for utility assistance.
The Salvation Army will offer utility assistance, by appointment only, for residents of Gadsden County. Appointments are made on Monday mornings via phone starting at 8 a.m.
Their contact number is (850) 222-0304.
Appointments are scheduled for the week until all appointments are filled. Because of this, persons needing help are encouraged to not leave a message, but rather hang up and call back if a voice mail or busy signal is reached.
Be sure to speak with a representative to set your appointment; do not leave a message for a call back.
Services to be provided on site are: food boxes and bags, hygiene items, feminine hygiene items, snack “meal” bags for homeless individuals, infant items, and Daily Bread shelves.
Emergency utility assistance appointments will also be held at this location.
Appointments are needed for utility assistance.
Mayor Ronte Harris and City of Quincy Commission welcomes this partnership and encourage the city’s citizens and the Gadsden County community to utilize the services provided by this valuable partner.
