Christopher Bartek, Sr., 67, of Crawfordville, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, at the First Commerce Center for Compassionate Care. Born on March 17, 1958, in Portland, Oregon, Chris was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who brought joy to all who knew him.
Chris was the proud owner of Alien World Computer Technicians, serving clients across North Florida and South Georgia. His passion for technology was evident, and he never considered his work a chore. It was his genuine pleasure to assist his clients. He founded the company in 1994, after spending 30 years working at Artcraft Printing.
Outside of work, Chris had a deep love for woodworking. He spent many enjoyable hours in his woodshop, creating beautiful, handcrafted pieces that he proudly displayed at arts and crafts events. An avid traveler, Chris cherished the moments spent with his family and friends, as they brought him the greatest joy.
Chris is survived by his devoted wife, Robbie Stroud; his sons, Christopher Bartek Jr., Nicholas Bartek (Katelyn), Dustin Stroud (Libbie), Matthew Stroud (Alyssa), and Nicholas Stroud; his beloved grandchildren, Lilah Bartek, Holden Stroud, Addison Stroud, Benton Stroud, Hannah Stroud, Carson Stroud, Charleigh Stroud, Grayson Stroud, and Hudson Stroud; as well as his siblings, Emery “Jim” Bartek Jr. (Yvonne), Kimberly Friday (Tom), and Victoria Ford (Steve).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emery Bartek Sr. and Beverly Brodersen, and his brother, Robert “Bob” Bartek.
A memorial service to celebrate Chris’s life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Lifesong Funeral Home, 20 S. Duval Street, Quincy, Florida, 32351.
Chris will be deeply missed by his wife, family, and friends. He will be remembered with love for his strength, spirit, and the warmth he brought into the lives of those around him.
