Small Business Saturday draws holiday shoppers to Downtown Havana

Downtown Havana came alive this past weekend as shoppers turned out to support local merchants for Small Business Saturday. The annual event, held the Saturday after Thanksgiving, encourages consumers to shop local and support small businesses, providing a welcome boost to the local economy.
From the early hours, the streets of downtown buzzed with activity as customers explored unique shops, boutiques, and eateries. Many businesses offered special promotions, discounts, and holiday-themed displays to attract shoppers.
Weekend Finds even whipped up some of the dips they sell in store for shoppers to sample while shopping.
With its charming storefronts and welcoming atmosphere, Havana proved to be an ideal destination for those looking to find distinctive gifts for the holiday season.
Small Business Saturday has become a key opportunity for Havana’s entrepreneurs to showcase their offerings and connect with the community. Local stores featured handmade crafts, artisanal goods, vintage finds, and more. The event also highlighted the value of shopping locally, which helps create jobs and keeps more money circulating in the community.
As the holiday season continues, Downtown Havana’s businesses are gearing up for more festive events, including WinterFest on Saturday, Dec. 14.
The event will have music on the stage, a festive parade, snow and some of the friendliest, safest shopping around, as downtown merchants and businesses remain open to holiday shoppers.
Residents are encouraged to continue exploring the treasures their local community has to offer.
Whether it was hunting for the perfect holiday gift or simply enjoying the ambiance of downtown, Small Business Saturday offered something for everyone—and a reminder of the importance of supporting small businesses in Havana.
