CAT TALES – Up A Tree

I got my first Florida fur baby thirty years ago. Of course, I have had cats all my life starting as a child, but being in a new job in a new state and living all alone for the first time in a long time, I really needed a furry companion. Since my hours were long and I traveled a lot, I thought perhaps a hamster would be something better suited to this new lifestyle. With this in mind I visited a pet shop to see what I could find. There in the midst of hamsters, rodents, bunnies, fish and birds was a cage off in the corner containing the most beautiful Himalayan Cat I had ever set eyes on. She stared at me with her beautiful blue eyes and mewed plaintively. She then reached a paw out through the bars on her cage and touched my face. I was smitten.
