I’ve been a little out of sorts since Valentine’s Day. I didn’t have any high expectations for the holiday; but I didn’t expect it to be such a nothing burger. Despite all my decorating, it came and went without being a bit festive. Of course, I gave my patient a card and candy, but he is in no shape to respond. I planned a dinner, but my guests forgot about it, so I ate in solitude. I served the cats their food in heart-shaped bowls, but they took no notice- just gobbled up their food and went on their way. I had gotten them some little heart-shaped toys to play with, but they ignored them, and carted out their little catnip filled Santa boots to toss around. It was all a bit disheartening.
