CAT TALES: A Tale of Two (Very Different) Kitties

As you know Beebe was the first member of my present cat family. He had been thrown in the garbage and left to die there until some kind lady found him and took him to the shelter where I adopted him. He was a sweet and smart little guy who played fetch like a dog, lugging around a toy stuffed kitten that was as big as he was. Beebe loved to eat and wasn’t the usual picky cat eater. He chowed down almost anything I fed him. At some point I bought him a small pouch of cat treats, I probably shouldn’t have. I would give him a few treats from that pouch from time to time. That wasn’t good enough. He would try and grab the pouch and try to help himself. I was soon buying 2 and 3 packets. By the time I brought feral Momau home about 10 years later, Beebe was a fat elder statesman cat. Momau had never had treats in her whole difficult life, but she sure wanted to share whatever Beebe had. She loved those things. It soon became evident that those small packets were not sufficient, and I was having to buy large packets. The two raced to the kitchen whenever they heard the crinkle sound of those large pouches.
