Mother’s Day is not something I look forward to. Having outlived both my children and most of my family, I am a lone woman on her own most of the time. I have friends, but I have outlived most of my closest ones or they live far away. I have two grandchildren, but they are at a distance also, so there are no Mother’s Day gatherings and there haven’t been for years.
